Why Verity Naturals Prices Are Increasing

From the very beginning, Verity Naturals was never meant to be the cheapest option on the shelf.

It was meant to be the cleanest.

The simplest.

The safest.

A return to the kind of skincare our great-grandmothers trusted — made with real ingredients from real farms, not mystery chemicals created in a lab somewhere overseas.

Every single jar of Verity Naturals is made using grass-fed and finished beef tallow sourced from Idaho ranchers, slow-infused botanicals like calendula, and oils chosen specifically for their compatibility with human skin — not because they’re the cheapest option available to manufacturers.

And for as long as I possibly could, I absorbed the rising cost of those ingredients myself.

Over the last year, nearly every component that goes into your favorite Verity Naturals products has increased in price:

Grass-fed suet from local ranchers (which has doubled in price)

Organic dried calendula petals

Apricot kernel oil and jojoba oil

Pure essential oils

Beeswax

Glass jars and tins

Shipping supplies

Label materials

Postage and freight

Even the cost to safely ship these products from our Idaho workshop to your doorstep has continued to climb.

Large skincare corporations often respond to rising costs by quietly changing their formulas — diluting products with water, swapping in cheaper seed oils, or reducing the concentration of active ingredients without ever updating the label.

That is something I will never do.

Verity Naturals was created out of a deeply personal need for products that were safe enough for my own children — including my kids with autoimmune challenges and extremely sensitive skin — and effective enough to withstand harsh, dry winters here in Idaho where conventional lotions simply don’t cut it.

Rather than compromise on ingredient quality, sourcing standards, or formulation integrity, I’ve made the decision to implement a modest price increase across select products.

This allows me to continue:

Sourcing from small American ranchers and farms

Using slow-rendered, properly purified tallow

Infusing botanicals at effective levels

Producing in small, hand-crafted batches

Packaging in reusable, low-toxicity containers

Shipping directly from our Idaho workspace

Without cutting corners.

Without watering down formulas.

Without replacing time-tested ingredients with trendy, inexpensive fillers.

My commitment remains exactly the same as it was on day one:

If it’s not good enough for my family, it’s not going into a Verity Naturals jar.

I am endlessly grateful for your continued support of this small, family-run business — and for every order that allows me to keep doing what I love: creating simple, effective, truly nourishing skincare made the way it used to be.

With gratitude,

Ursula Anne LaForm - Verity Naturals
